At the Comarch User Group (CUG) conference PPN sat down with Adam Beldzik, E-Invoicing Sector Director, and took a deep dive into the company’s goals and the exciting new direction and attention they’re giving to e-invoicing.

With over 30 years of market experience, Comarch is a household name in Poland that has successfully scaled its operations worldwide, establishing Comarch E-Invoicing as a global leader competing on equal footing with the world's largest tech giants. Less well known in the UK, Comarch has big plans to remedy that, and the rapid growth of the sector is testament to the success of the strategy so far.

With over thirty-three countries represented at the CUG conference, it’s certainly a company with global reach as well as longevity. We asked Adam about some of the biggest changes he’d seen in e-invoicing over the years at the company and what the future might hold.

Q: Adam, you’ve been with Comarch for quite some time, what have the biggest changes in the sector been do you think?

The UK government announced at Budget that from April 2029 eInvoicing will be mandated for all VAT registered businesses. That’s right, the UK economy is going digital! And while the date might still seem a little way in the future, the time to start preparing for our new digital economy is now.
