EPC reports on SEPA payment achievements in 2022

In the newly published infographic the European Payments Council (EPC) reports on how it fulfilled its main objectives in 2022.
The highlights include:
• 2313 payment service providers (PSPs) have already joined the SEPA Instant Credit (SCT Inst) scheme:
61% of European PSPs from 29 countries and over 71% of PSPs in the euro area.
• The SEPA Request-to-Pay (SRTP) scheme is counting its first participants.
• The first SEPA Payment Account Access scheme rulebook was published on 30 November 2022.
The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is a European Union (EU) initiative to harmonise euro payments. More than 529 million citizens live in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) and make 146 billion electronic payments every year.
