Wednesday 7th September, 2022

Singapore has recently adopted new document types to assist enterprises in increasing efficiency by using electronic documents via Peppol.

Peppol applies a set of standards for electronic document exchange between sending and receiving access points. Peppol applies a set of standards for electronic document exchange between sending and receiving access points.

SG Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 is a Singaporean extension of the European Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 format. Organisations can be senders of documents that adhere to this new extension, receivers of such documents, or both.

Furthermore, the latest documents to be introduced in Singapore are Orders and Invoice Response. Only IMDA authorised Access Points can process the new document types on the InvoiceNow network.

“Pagero has completed testing for the two new document types and we’re now equipped to assist parties in exchanging business responses, offering essential information regarding documents and reducing the need for time-consuming follow-ups. We can also aid businesses with their electronic ordering processes, offering buyers automatic notifications when their order is received and undergoing processing via order response from a supplier,” says Hertzbert Casseus, regulatory associate.
