Slovakia advances its e-Invoicing

From January 2022 companies will be able to send electronic invoices to public administrations in Slovakia. The government in this region has completed its communications platform called IS EFA.

The Slovakian government has introduced an IT and communication solution called the Electronic Invoice Information System (IS EFA) that will be managing all transactions.

This new system will make it easier for companies to comply with their tax obligations and will also contribute to a more efficient and transparent system.

The IS EFA implementation phased is split into two phases.

Phase 1 (January 2022) Electronic invoicing voluntary in B2G, G2G and G2B.

Phase 2 (January 2023) a law has been proposed to make electronic invoicing mandatory for B2B, B2C and G2C.

This new system will make it easier for companies to comply with their tax obligations and will also contribute to a more efficient and transparent system. According to Edicom.
