Unit4 has announced that Hampshire based Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council has selected Unit4 ERPx and Talent Management solutions to deliver a flexible, next generation finance, HR and Payroll system that can develop with the needs of the council.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council employs 580 people and serves a population of circa 176,000 citizens. Through an industry best practice implementation approach, the council will replace legacy finance and HR systems that were no longer fit for purpose, with an integrated, intuitive and agile next-generation cloud ERP platform.
The council aims to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs by streamlining processes and optimising projects in the face of mounting budget pressures. Through Unit4’s Public Sector implementation model, they can ensure rapid time to value with the generally accepted financial and personnel controls and standards which adhere to UK policy and regulations including GDPR out of the box.
With a proven-track record of supporting council transformation projects and with a one-team approach, the council and Unit4 will collaborate with elite implementation partner Embridge Consulting to deliver the implementation and deployment of the Unit4 solutions.
"As a council, we are committed to delivering excellent services for our residents and customers and speeding up our processes through the use of new technology," said Sue Cuerden, Executive Director of Corporate Services, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. "Through our transformation programme, we were looking for an agile ERP platform that would help us adapt quickly and grow whilst maintaining stability for our customers and optimising our resources and we are pleased to be working with Unit4."
They are also part of Unit4’s ERPx early adopter program.
