Accounts Payable / Receivable Supervisor, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, North London, Hybrid

An exciting role at Caravan Restaurants & Coffee Roasters reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you would be responsible for the day to day management of the AP/AR function for both Restaurant and Coffee businesses. The role oversees one full time Purchase Ledger assistant and one full time Accounts Receivable assistant. Responsible for all aspects of both the AP and AR ledgers, you will ensure that Caravan suppliers are paid correctly and on time, their accounts are fully reconciled, and that all funds received into the business are fully reconciled. This role will play an integral part in the wider finance function’s success. The role is based at their Head Office and Coffee Roastery in Caledonian Road, North London with the expectation of 3/4 days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities
• Day to day management of the accounts receivable and accounts payable team.
• Ownership of the AP & AR ledgers
• Preparation of payments and obtaining the relevant signoff
• Debtor management, reconciliation & reporting
• Completing Receivable Finance and Trade Finance submissions
• Maintaining users and approval hierarchies
• Resolving queries
• Bank reconciliation, reporting & journals
• Involvement in the VAT return process
• Continually look to improve processes and assist with any improvements made within the team
• Develop good relationships with key contacts at both internally and externally

Skills And Experience
• Experience in a similar role
• Experience of working in/with a multi-site environment and ideally in hospitality / FMCG
• Strong communicator
• A full ‘hands-on’ approach to working with good team working skills
• Quick learner with a ‘can do’ and ‘lets make it better’ attitude
• Enjoys a fast-paced working environment with the ability to work under pressure
