A businesswoman, ‘professional adventurer and gender equality advocate, Debra has launched three companies, won World Championship medals for Great Britain, presented several programmes for the BBC, been awarded a First Class Honours degree, and has had several books published.

Drawing on her own experiences, Debra leaves the audience in no doubt of their own ability to achieve the extraordinary, using her story to powerfully draw out key business and personal lessons. With a movie about her incredible story currently in development in Hollywood, and voted in the top 3 motivational speakers in the world, with only Tony Robbins and Simon Sinek ahead of her, we can’t wait to share her story with you.

Lunchtime Keynote: Phil Fersht, CEO HfS

In 2012, he authored the first analyst report on Robotic Process Automation (RPA), introducing this topic to the industry and is widely recognized as the pioneering analyst voice that created and inspired today's automation, analytics, and AI industry.

Closing Keynote: Lavinia Thanapathy

A lawyer by training and a branding expert by profession, Lavinia is the co-editor and co-author of the bestseller "Unleash Your Voice: Powerful Public Speaking for Every Woman." Her "Unleash" keynote helps unlock the internal barriers that prevent people from achieving their full potential.

Lavinia has served with distinction on several non-profit Boards. She was a three-term Presidnet at PrimeTime Business & Professional Women's Association and has served as Honorary Secretary at HCA Hospice Care. She is the founding chair for Inspiring Girls in Singapore. She most recently stepped down as VP at the Singapore Council of Women's Organisations where she represented Singapore on the world stage as ASEAN and APEC meetings. Originally from Singapore, educated in Australia and the UK, she is currently based in Berlin.

Liz Barclay - Small Business Commissioner

Liz Barclay 1 200x200Liz Barclay is a small business and consumer affairs broadcaster, producer and writer. She started her career as an adviser and then CEO with Citizens Advice before moving into radio and TV production and presentation specialising in business and consumer affairs. She is Financial Inclusion Commissioner; Chair of the Fair by Design Campaign; a non-executive Director of 2 organisations and a member of the Standards Boards of The Equity Release Council.

Liz has worked with Boards and small businesses on improving governance, trust and culture, inclusion, and understanding customer behaviour. She coaches communication and presentation skills, chairs national and international conferences and has written several books on business.

Liz was appointed the role of Small Business Commissioner in July 2021 to spearhead the national effort to crackdown on poor payment practices which cause thousands of small businesses to close every year.

Susan Ní Chríodáin, Founder of Beyond The Numbers

SusanSusan founded Beyond the Numbers to work with teams and individuals in organisations who know that putting people first generates the greatest return. Her experience and business acumen stem from a wide variety of commercial and non-profit operational, project and financial roles. For over 20 years she led and managed teams in Europe, Africa, Asia, in-person and remotely. Technical excellence wasn’t enough; the ability to interact and influence others was key.  Rakesh Sangani, Proservartner CEO


Rakesh is a recognised thought leader in business transformation, shared services and outsourcing and regularly presents at conferences in Europe, Asia and North America. With considerable experience within industry and board-level roles within the NHS and charity sector, he has the gravitas to influence executives and build strategic relationships.

Since founding Proservartner in 2008, Rakesh has been dedicated to the success of the organisation, building a team of highly skilled practitioners and developing industry-leading approaches.

He has been recognised as one of the most influential leaders in shared services and outsourcing, and nominated for Advisor of the Year at the National Outsourcing Association’s Awards. He is a qualified chartered accountant, certified project manager and Black Belt Lean Six Sigma. 

Andrew Parris, Finance & Systems Director, Balfour Beatty Vinci

andrew parris cicrleAndrew joined Balfour Beatty in February 2020 and was immediately seconded to the Balfour Beatty Vinci joint venture to deliver the North Area Main works for HS2 Stage 1 as Finance and Systems Director. In addition to being a key member of the Executive, this role includes leading a Finance Business Partnering team, Technology & Data function, Facilities and Site Support for a multi-billion pound project running over 6 years.

Andrew’s previous role was as Performance Improvement Director for the Europe Materials division of CRH plc. In this role he considered the efficiency and effectiveness of all Functions across a business operating in 25 countries with c€8bn turnover and c9,000 employees. The main transformation initiatives he lead covered Shared Services, Automation and Process Optimisation.

Prior to this Andrew was the Shared Services Director for Tarmac for 5 years. Whilst leading the Finance Shared Services Function, he was also responsible for Finance Transformation at Tarmac, was a member of the Finance Leadership Team and the Tarmac Leadership Team. For 12 years prior to joining Tarmac Andrew worked for National Grid in various Senior Finance roles, principally in business partnering capacities. His last role before leaving National Grid was Financial Controller for the Transmission Capital Investment programme, helping to deliver c£1.5bn of capital expenditure projects each year.
Andrew lead the Tarmac SSC to multiple awards (including SSON Shared Service Centre of the Year 2017 and West Midlands Shared Service Centre of the year in 2016) and was recipient of West Midlands Finance Director of the Year award in 2018.
Andrew originally trained as a chartered accountant with BDO in South Africa and spent three post-qualifying years with PwC in the UK. A member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and the Chartered Management Institute, Andrew chaired the Midlands Shared Services Forum from 2015 to 2020 and speaks regularly at Shared Services and Finance Transformation events.

Andrew graduated top of his faculty at University College Cork, holds an MBA with distinction from Manchester Business School and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Becca Brighty MSc, MBPsS

Becca BrightyBecca Brighty is an experienced Organisational Psychologist whose main passion lies in helping people enjoy their work more and helping business leaders get the most from their people. She does this in a variety of ways; through coaching, public speaking, workshops, training and psychometrics. Becca is passionate about the idea that everyone can and should be brilliant and work. It is simply a matter of aligning an individual’s goals, values, strengths and preferences with those of the business. Becca has worked with a variety of public and private sector companies such as the NHS, Santander, smaller SAAS platforms, SMEs and co-founded a values-based recruitment platform.

She describes how the main difference between high performing and struggling teams is how well the leaders in that team and business understand their people. Becca uses her understanding of psychology, neuroscience and business to help leaders get the most from their people.

Dicky Tome, Serrala

Dicky has built trustful and long-term client relationships over a period of more than 20 years by finding suitable solutions for the individual requirements of his customers. Prior to joining Serrala in 2021, he held different national and international positions within the likes of IBM, Snow Software, Sidetrade and Blackline.
