Getting Ahead of the Curve - The UK’s eInvoicing Mandate Unwrapped
In-Person Event
Date: 30th April, 2026
Location: Fortune Room, Covent Garden Hotel, London
Duration: 2 hours approx.
Time: 09:30 - 11:30am
With confirmation in the Autumn Budget last year that e‑invoicing will become mandatory for all VAT invoices from April 2029, the conversation has moved from if it will happen, to how. The mandate now set, businesses are watching closely as the UK considers which model will ultimately be adopted.
In this Masterclass we are joined by Rachel Stirrat from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for an open discussion on the UK’s e‑invoicing plans.
This collaborative session offers the opportunity to explore:
- What HMRC is currently considering and why
- Potential timelines and implementation strategies
- What the UK can learn from models already in place across Europe
- What remains negotiable in the plans for this year's Roadmap announcement
- What businesses should be doing now to prepare
With mandates already in place or about to be implemented in some of our nearest neighbours such as Belgium, France and Germany, the UK’s next steps will have deep implications for tax compliance, cross-border trade, digital efficiency, resilience and growth in the UK economy
