An assistant and company secretary employed in the customer support section of airplane manufacturer Airbus UK admitted to fraud by an abuse of position.
The former Airbus employee appeared at Mold Crown Court in Wales where she entered a guilty plea.
The fraud took place between September 2012 and April 2016. She was expected to safeguard the financial interests of the company, she however, dishonestly abused her position, using duplicate invoices to gain herself £131,967.
Reported in Daily Post, David Mainstone, prosecuting, suggested that the fraud was a breach of a position of trust which made it a case of high culpability with a five-year starting point and a range of up to six years.
She is due to be sentenced in June 2018.
